Purple Air Jordans? Wait, aren't Jordans supposed to be white, black, or red? Yes, traditionally Jordan shoes for basketball have been released in white and black colorways. These were the colorways that Michael Jordan typically wore during his entire NBA career. As a result, it would only make sense that Jordan Brand would not break from tradition and continue to drop the same colorways that MJ wore on the court. After all, Michael did play for the Chicago Bulls whose colors are... well, you know what colors the Bulls wear.
Times have changed. Not only have things changed in the sneaker game, things have changed in the Jordan sneaker game. Jordan shoes for basketball are still being dropped in the traditional colorways, but they are also being dropped in some non-traditional colorways as well. The Jordan PIT High Flyer is a perfect example of a new Jordan shoe that breaks the colorway tradition. This shoe has dropped in purple and Carolina Blue.
