purple jordans shoes

Purple Air Jordans? Wait, aren't Jordans supposed to be white, black, or red? Yes, traditionally Jordan shoes for basketball have been released in white and black colorways. These were the colorways that Michael Jordan typically wore during his entire NBA career. As a result, it would only make sense that Jordan Brand would not break from tradition and continue to drop the same colorways that MJ wore on the court. After all, Michael did play for the Chicago Bulls whose colors are... well, you know what colors the Bulls wear.

Times have changed. Not only have things changed in the sneaker game, things have changed in the Jordan sneaker game. Jordan shoes for basketball are still being dropped in the traditional colorways, but they are also being dropped in some non-traditional colorways as well. The Jordan PIT High Flyer is a perfect example of a new Jordan shoe that breaks the colorway tradition. This shoe has dropped in purple and Carolina Blue. These are two colorways that we definitely have not seen on a Jordan shoe in the past. This shoe is also available in the traditional colorways of white and black.

Colorways aside, this new Jordan, like many other Jordans, is built for high performance. Both full grain leather and patent leather are used on the shoe's upper. A Phylon midsole and Nike Vis-Air unit in the heel provide the ultimate in cushioning. This shoe is just one of the shoes that Jordan Brand has continued to release that offers both quality, performance, and affordability. With a price point of $115, this is one Jordan that will deliver on the court.

Another great example of a quality, high performance Jordan shoe that has dropped in some non-traditional colorways is the Jordan Phase 23 Hoops. This shoe has been released in yellow, green, and varsity royal colorways. There is even a rare varsity red colorway. Much like the Jordan PIT, this shoe uses leather on the upper and a full-length Phylon midsole. The Phase 23 Hoops is another Jordan shoe that is very affordable at $110.

The high profile Jordan Retros that continue to be released always seem to get the most attention. And for good reason. These are pieces of history that are limited in release and are truly epic shoes. But, Jordan Brand, is quietly releasing some very high quality shoes, in a wide variety of colors, at affordable price points. There truly is a shoe for every type of basketball player and casual sneaker fanatic. It looks the guys over at Jordan Brand are going to make sure of that.
